After exploring numerous solutions to address challenges faced by early childhood educators and provide them with meaningful support, we turned our focus to artificial intelligence (AI). While AI has transformed education by streamlining curriculum planning, communication, and professional development, its impact on early childhood education, especially in values-based and faith-based settings, has been limited.

Instead of seeing this as a barrier, we viewed it as an opportunity. With OrAI, Jewish early childhood educators and administrators can pioneer AI's role in early learning, ensuring it aligns with child-centered, values-driven practices. Through transparency, ethical design, and a strong commitment to children, families, and educators, we aim to show that innovation rooted in care strengthens early childhood education.

OrAI allows us to set standards rather than wait for external regulations or tools that may not understand early learning nuances. We can proactively shape how AI is integrated, used, and evaluated, ensuring alignment with best practices in child development, equity, inclusion, and the diverse, sacred goals of Jewish education.
